Split and Slide (like you see in the hippidy hop videos!) - Adobe After Effects tutorial

Split video with lines, then make that video do wacky and interesting stuff. Sure makes that boring old line seem more interesting now! I've seen this in a video on the music television and someone asked me about it. I forgot who that was, sorry. Either way in this tutorial you're going to split, slide, rotate, and all kinds of cool junk that you might enjoy. You can expand on this technique to do much much more but even at the bare minimum it looks pretty cool.It would be rad to see what you make with your new found powers.
